Rockdale County Jail Inmate Search: Conyers GA Roster, Bond, Mail & Visiting 2026

This guide explains how to use the official Rockdale County jail inmate lookup, verify custody in Conyers, understand property bonds and cash bonds, follow the 2025 JailATM scanned-mail procedure, schedule Securus remote visits, add commissary funds, send approved books, and use Rockdale County court records for case follow-up.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER: Pursuant to Georgia public record practices, local correctional policy, and court-access rules, this page is provided for public informational guidance only. A Rockdale County Jail inmate search result, booking entry, charge label, bond amount, warrant note, mugshot, roster listing, or court date is not a conviction. All detainees are presumed innocent unless and until adjudicated guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction. Always verify current custody, bond, release eligibility, mail rules, visitation status, court dates, account deposits, property release, and legal obligations directly with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, Rockdale County Clerk of Superior and State Courts, the appropriate court, or qualified legal counsel.

Rockdale County Jail inmate search refers to the official Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office inmate lookup for people booked or held in the county jail system in Conyers, Georgia. This page is specifically for Rockdale County, Georgia, not Rockdale as a city-only jail and not another state’s county jail. The strongest workflow is simple: use the official Sheriff inmate lookup first, record the inmate’s exact name and number, verify bond or hold details with the jail when money is involved, and use the Clerk of Superior and State Courts for formal case records and dispositions.

The jail search is useful, but it is not the final legal record. A person can be in booking, released, transferred, moved for court, held for another agency, or listed with a delay. Charge labels shown in jail systems may later be amended, dismissed, indicted, accused formally, reduced, enhanced, or resolved in court. If you are posting bond, sending mail, arranging a visit, ordering commissary, contacting a bondsman, or making a safety decision, do not rely on a copied jail-directory page. Use the official Rockdale Sheriff and court sources first.

II. Rockdale County Jail, Conyers & Sheriff Office Difference

Rockdale County Jail facility information appears in more than one official context. The Georgia Department of Corrections location page lists Rockdale County Jail at 2385 Sigman Industrial Court in Conyers with the jail contact number. Rockdale Sheriff website pages list the Sheriff’s Office address at 911 Chambers Drive NW and show the Sheriff’s Office and jail phone numbers. That means visitors should not blindly use one address for every task. Jail facility, Sheriff headquarters, court clerk, magistrate court, bonding, property, and court-disposition questions may route differently.

For custody and booking information, use the jail and inmate-services contacts. For inmate lookup, use the Sheriff quick link. For court disposition or criminal case records, use the Clerk of Superior and State Courts. For bond refund questions, the Sheriff bonding page says the Sheriff’s Office/Jail Division does not process bond refunds; once a case is settled and disposed of, refund or bond-return concerns go to the Clerk of Courts. That division of responsibility matters.

Address and responsibility checklist:
  • Jail physical location: 2385 Sigman Industrial Court, Conyers, GA 30012.
  • Sheriff’s Office address shown on RCSO pages: 911 Chambers Drive NW, Conyers, GA 30012.
  • Inmate lookup: official Tyler jail-search portal from RCSO quick links.
  • Inmate services: 770-278-8209.
  • Bonding clerk: 770-278-8204.
  • Rockdale Clerk of Superior & State Courts: 922 Court Street, Conyers, GA 30012.

The facility may house people arrested in Rockdale County, Conyers, and surrounding law-enforcement operations. Still, the arresting agency, holding facility, court, and bond authority may not be the same office. A Conyers municipal cash bond, for example, may route differently from a county-level cash bond. Court date and disposition questions should not be forced through the jail if the Clerk or court controls the answer.

III. Cash Bonds, Property Bonds, Online Bonds & Bond Refunds

Rockdale County’s official bonding page lists several bond paths: property bond, cash bond, professional bonding companies, online bond payments, bond surrender, and bond refund guidance. The most important user rule is this: do not pay a bond until you understand every charge, every hold, and the exact bond type. A person can have a bond on one matter and still remain in custody because another warrant, probation issue, outside hold, federal matter, immigration issue, or court order blocks release.

Property bonds have strict requirements. Rockdale’s bonding procedure says property bonds are accepted during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. The property must be improved real estate; mobile homes are not considered improved real estate. For Rockdale County property, every person listed on the deed must come to the Rockdale County Jail to sign bonding paperwork. The surety must provide a warranty deed or quitclaim deed to show ownership, a current real estate tax receipt showing taxes are paid, and a current mortgage statement to calculate equity. Equity must be double the value of the bond.

Property-bond warning: Do not send one family member to post a property bond if multiple owners are listed on the deed. Rockdale requires all owners of record to sign, and additional documentation may be required for paid-off property, deceased owners, high-value bonds, or out-of-county property.

Cash bonds may be paid by cash or cashier’s check equal to the total bond amount. Rockdale’s bonding page states that cash bonds for the City of Conyers must be paid directly to Municipal Court at 1194 Scott Street, Conyers, GA 30012. That is a big trap. County jail custody does not automatically mean every payment is made at the same counter. Verify whether the bond belongs to Rockdale County, City of Conyers Municipal Court, or another agency before paying.

Professional bonding companies can charge a fee of up to 15 percent of the total bond. The Sheriff’s Office states it makes no recommendations concerning use of professional bonding companies. That is exactly how it should be read: the jail is not endorsing a bondsman. A bondsman fee may be non-refundable, and a co-signer may take on serious financial responsibility. Do not sign emotionally because the inmate called in distress. Verify release eligibility first.

Rockdale also lists online bond-payment vendors, including GovPayNet with a Rockdale Sheriff payment location code and Cash Bond Online. Payment convenience does not remove the need for legal verification. If you pay the wrong bond, ignore a hold, or misunderstand a municipal bond, the person may remain in custody. The Sheriff’s bonding page also states that bond refunds are not processed by the Sheriff’s Office/Jail Division; after a case is settled and disposed of, refund or bond-return concerns go through the Rockdale County Clerk of Courts.

Before posting any Rockdale bond, verify:
  • The inmate’s exact name and inmate number from the official lookup.
  • Every listed charge, warrant, hold, and court jurisdiction.
  • Whether the bond is cash, property, professional surety, municipal, online, or court-controlled.
  • Whether City of Conyers Municipal Court must receive a cash bond directly.
  • Whether all property owners can appear and sign if using a property bond.
  • Whether equity, tax, deed, mortgage, and title-search documentation is ready.
  • Whether bond refund or return questions belong to the Clerk, not the jail.

IV. Securus Calls, Remote Visits & Recorded Communications

Rockdale inmate services and visitation pages identify Securus as the remote visitation platform and list Securus customer service at 1-800-844-6591. Family and friends should not use random search ads when creating an account. Start from the Sheriff’s inmate-services or visitation page, then go to Securus and follow the prompts. Allow the stated approval time, then schedule a remote session.

Inmates generally cannot receive ordinary incoming personal calls the way a person would at home. Communication usually begins when the inmate uses approved phone, message, remote visit, or kiosk services. If you have an urgent family emergency, call the jail or Inmate Affairs and ask what official message process is available. Do not expect staff to pass routine personal messages. Do not discuss case facts through monitored systems.

All non-privileged communication should be treated as monitored, recorded, or reviewable. The visitation page states that all visits are monitored. Do not discuss alleged facts of the case, witnesses, evidence, weapons, drugs, vehicles, money movement, victim contact, co-defendants, hidden property, social media posts, immigration issues, or anything that may violate a no-contact order. Recorded jail communications can create new legal problems.

Communication checklist:
  • Verify the inmate is still in Rockdale County custody.
  • Use the correct inmate name and number when creating vendor accounts.
  • Use official Securus links for video visitation and customer support.
  • Separate Securus visits from JailATM commissary and mail accounts.
  • Keep calls and visits focused on health, attorney contact, childcare, work notice, transportation, and release logistics.
  • Use attorney channels for legal strategy.

V. 2025 JailATM Mail Procedure, Legal Mail & Books

Rockdale County Jail changed its inmate mail procedure effective February 10, 2025. The official notice says inmate mail sent to the facility will not be accepted beginning February 10, 2025. After that date, inmate mail should be sent to JailATM.com – Rockdale County Jail with the inmate name and inmate number at 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062, Atlanta, GA 30309. The mail is scanned into the inmate’s JailATM communication account.

Regular inmate mail format after February 10, 2025:

JailATM.com – Rockdale County Jail
Inmate Name / Inmate Number
925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062
Atlanta, GA 30309

This is not optional formatting. If personal mail is sent to the old facility address after the policy change, the inmate may not receive it. Bulk mail, including copies of internet sites and numerous large scanned copies, will not be accepted. That means visitors should not mail large printouts, screenshots, internet articles, social media posts, or bulky documents through ordinary personal mail. Use the correct channel for each item.

Legal mail is different. The official notice says legal mail will continue to be accepted at the facility if it is sent by an attorney of record. Legal mail must be clearly marked “Private Legal Mail” with the inmate’s name and cell location. Business or administrative forms requiring a signature should be brought directly to the facility. Any personal correspondence mixed in with legal or business mail will be destroyed. That is a hard warning: do not try to sneak family notes into legal mail.

Money orders also have a separate rule. The Sheriff’s mail procedure says money orders will continue to be accepted at the facility with the inmate’s name and money order written on the front. Do not mix ordinary personal letters into money-order mail. Keep the payment clean, labeled, and separate from personal correspondence.

Books, magazines, and newspapers have their own approval path. The inmate services page says inmates are allowed to receive books, magazines, and newspapers, but these items must be mailed by the publisher or book seller, and no hardcover books will be accepted. Inmates can check out up to two books from the inmate library at one time, and inmates can request law-library access through the in-dorm kiosk. Do not send used books from a private home, hardcovers, hidden notes, altered packages, sexually explicit content, gang material, escape material, weapon content, or drug-manufacturing content.

Contraband warning: Do not send cash, loose stamps, medication, SIM cards, stickers, glitter, perfume, lipstick marks, tape, staples, tobacco, vape products, gang content, coded notes, personal letters hidden in legal mail, or objects inside books. A “small helpful item” can become contraband in a jail setting.

VI. JailATM Funds, Commissary, Eyeglasses & Property Issues

Rockdale County inmate services identify JailATM as the vendor for inmate funds and webpacks. All inmates can purchase commissary items through kiosks in their dorm if they have funds available on their jail inmate account. Funds can be given or webpacks ordered through the JailATM deposit portal. Family members can also mail a money order or cashier’s check with the inmate’s name on it, or use the kiosk located in the jail lobby area to deposit cash.

Do not confuse account deposits with bond. JailATM funds may help an inmate purchase commissary, communicate through approved systems, or receive approved webpacks. Those funds do not automatically pay a cash bond, property bond, municipal bond, online bond, court fine, or bond fee. The quickest way to waste money is to send commissary funds when the actual problem is a hold, a no-bond charge, or a municipal cash bond.

Funds and commissary checklist:
  • Confirm the inmate remains in Rockdale custody before depositing money.
  • Use the inmate’s exact name and inmate number.
  • Use JailATM links reached from the official Sheriff inmate-services page.
  • Keep receipts, confirmation numbers, date, time, payment method, and account email.
  • Separate JailATM funds from bond, municipal court payments, and clerk payments.
  • Do not mail ordinary correspondence inside money-order mail.

Approved physical items are limited. The inmate services page says eyeglasses will be accepted only if they are plastic with no metal frames. All clothing items must be purchased through inmate commissary, and the jail will not accept other clothing items. This is a common user trap. Do not arrive with underwear, shoes, shirts, jackets, medication, hygiene items, or personal property unless the jail has specifically approved that item.

Property release and vehicle tow issues should be verified before travel. The jail may hold wallet items, keys, clothing, documents, phone, jewelry, cash, or other belongings from booking. Some items may be held as evidence. Some property may require inmate authorization. If a vehicle was towed, the arresting agency, towing company, registered owner, insurance status, lienholder, driver license status, or evidence hold may control release. Call before driving.

VII. Medical Care, Prescriptions & Emergency Messages

Medical issues should be routed through official jail procedures. Family members should not arrive at Rockdale County Jail with prescription medication and assume staff will accept it. Correctional medical procedures normally require verification, medical review, security review, original pharmacy containers, current labels, and proper documentation before medication information affects treatment. Loose pills, expired medication, unlabeled bottles, supplements, over-the-counter items, and controlled substances may be refused or treated as security concerns.

If a loved one has diabetes, seizure disorder, pregnancy concerns, withdrawal risk, suicide-risk indicators, serious mental-health symptoms, allergies, cardiac conditions, mobility limitations, recent hospitalization, or urgent prescription needs, call the jail or Inmate Affairs and provide exact information. Give the inmate’s full name, inmate number if available, diagnosis, medication name, dosage, prescribing physician, pharmacy, allergies, last dose time, and the risk if treatment is interrupted.

Medical-message warning: “He needs medicine” is too vague. A stronger message includes the medication name, dose, pharmacy, doctor, diagnosis, last dose time, allergies, and what happens if treatment is missed.

Medical information and legal strategy should remain separate. If a medical issue affects bond, court appearance, competency, release conditions, treatment placement, or sentencing, notify counsel. Do not use monitored calls, JailATM messages, or Securus visits to argue the case. Use legal counsel for legal strategy and official jail channels for urgent health facts.

VIII. Securus Video Visitation Rules & Dress Code

Rockdale County currently handles family and friend visitation remotely through Securus. The official visitation page says family and friend visitation is done remotely via the Securus Technologies website, and the inmate-services page says onsite visitation is reserved for attorney visits at this time. The standard setup path is to create a Securus account, allow time for approval by inmate affairs, and then schedule a remote session. The official pages also state that a visit may be scheduled 24 hours after the inmate has been booked into the RCSO Jail.

Rockdale’s inmate services page lists normal visitation hours as Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Because jail schedules and vendor systems can change, verify the current schedule before promising a visit. If you cannot schedule a visit online or have questions, the visitation page directs users to call Inmate Affairs at 770-278-8209.

Remote visitation preparation:
  • Create a Securus account through the official visitation link.
  • Wait for approval by inmate affairs before trying to schedule.
  • Use the correct inmate name and number.
  • Test your camera, microphone, internet, browser, and lighting before the visit.
  • Make sure the person who scheduled the visit is present.
  • Do not include anyone barred by a no-contact court order.
  • Keep the conversation non-case-related because all visits are monitored.

The visitation rules are strict. The official rules prohibit cell phones unless used to conduct visits, computers/tablets/other electronic devices that can access the internet, television or other video images, provocative clothing including low-cut tank tops or spaghetti straps, driving while visiting, nudity, gang signs, unauthorized people, and contact with persons where a no-contact court order exists. Nudity can trigger suspension of future visits for one month, and multiple offenses can cause a permanent ban.

Onsite visitation rules, where applicable, require picture identification for visitors 17 or older, appropriate attire, shirts and shoes, supervision of children, no food, no beverages, no tobacco products, no phones, no intoxication, and no contraband. Any person who attempts to smuggle contraband into the facility can face criminal prosecution and future visitation restrictions. Even for remote visits, act like you are entering a controlled correctional setting.

IX. Rockdale Court Records, Warrants & Case Dispositions

After confirming custody through the jail search, use the court system for legal follow-up. The Rockdale County Clerk of Superior and State Courts maintains official documents, including civil and criminal proceedings, and the Clerk’s site states that the Superior Court Criminal Division maintains all criminal felony case files for Rockdale Superior Court. The Clerk’s page also says copies of a disposition may be requested through the Superior Court Clerk’s Office by mail at 922 Court Street, Room 203, Conyers, GA 30012 or by phone at 770-278-7922.

The Clerk website also notes that public access support has ended for an older platform and directs users to re:SearchGA to access Rockdale County court records moving forward. That is a major practical update. If an old court-record link fails, do not assume the record disappeared. Use the current Clerk guidance, re:SearchGA, or contact the Clerk directly.

Rockdale’s Magistrate Court is also relevant for some matters because the county describes Magistrate Court as a trial court with limited jurisdiction over applications for and issuance of arrest and search warrants, first appearance, bond and probable cause hearings, county ordinance matters, misdemeanor bad check cases, small claims, garnishments, dispossessory matters, distress warrants, and abandoned motor vehicle liens. Depending on the charge and case stage, a user may need Superior Court, State Court, Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, or another Georgia court source.

Do not treat the jail charge as the final case outcome. A charge may be amended, dismissed, indicted, accused formally, reduced, enhanced, moved to a different court, or resolved by plea/trial. If the inmate search says bond is available but the court shows a bench warrant or another hold, verify before paying. If the Clerk record is not visible immediately after arrest, the case may still be processing.

Court follow-up checklist:
  • Record the inmate’s exact roster details from the official jail lookup.
  • Identify whether the matter appears to be Superior, State, Magistrate, or Municipal Court.
  • Use re:SearchGA or the Clerk’s current court-record guidance for online access.
  • Contact the Superior Criminal Division for felony-case file or disposition questions.
  • Contact the District Attorney if the issue involves a bench warrant resolution question identified by the Clerk page.
  • Use certified court records when legal proof is required; screenshots are not certified records.
  • Use qualified legal counsel for legal advice; jail and clerk staff cannot act as your attorney.

X. Legal Counsel & Visitor Precedents: Crucial Tips

⚠️ Do Not Use the Old Mail Habit

Rockdale changed inmate mail rules in 2025. Personal mail now routes through JailATM at the Atlanta scanning address. Legal mail and money orders follow different rules.

💸 Property Bond Rules Are Not Casual

Rockdale property bonds require improved real estate, all owners present, deed proof, tax receipt, mortgage statement, and enough equity. Do not show up unprepared.

🎥 Remote Visit Still Means Jail Rules

Securus visits are monitored. No nudity, no driving, no gang signs, no prohibited participants, no case facts, and no no-contact-order violations. One bad visit can cost future access.

🏛️ Jail Search Is Not Disposition

The jail lookup can confirm custody, but the Clerk controls case files and dispositions. Use the court source before saying a charge became a conviction or final judgment.

XI. Rockdale County Jail Facility Map

The map below points to the Rockdale County Jail facility location listed by the Georgia Department of Corrections at 2385 Sigman Industrial Court in Conyers, Georgia. Before traveling, confirm whether your task belongs at the jail facility, Sheriff’s Office, court clerk, magistrate court, municipal court, bonding counter, towing company, or attorney office. Using the wrong address can cause missed bond windows, failed visits, or delayed paperwork.
